I wanted a design that read “Love is love is love” and that was readable from both sides, so I created a mirror ambigram: an image that is identical forwards and backwards.

Note: This pattern expects some knowledge of the double knitting technique; if I have time I will write a version for beginners, but for now it’s an intermediate pattern. There will be a crochet cowl available as well.

Materials needed:

• Yarn, worsted weight, in two colors
• Knitting needle US 7 (4.5mm), circular or DPNs
• Stitch markers (optional)
• Yarn needle, for weaving ends
