♫ The Music ♫
Star Trek may seem a far cry from Celtic cables but my favourite TNG (The Next Generation) episode of all time is “The Inner Light” (Season 5 Episode 25 if you want to check it out). Captain Picard learns the flute during his experience on the planet Kataan and plays the most beautiful melody ~ composed by Jay Chattaway ~ that is very worthy of cables. It is a tune of hope.

Inner Light are our Holiday socks for 2020 - garlands and wreaths and toasty toes, oh my!

Features:

  • These toe-up socks begin with a barn toe.
  • The cables on the instep and leg are mirrored on the right and left sock.
  • The sole is worked in Stockinette stitch (knit every round).
  • The gusset increases are worked at the sides of the sole.
  • The heel is turned using a short row heel cap which means no picking up stitches.
  • The heel flap is worked in a standard slipped-stitch pattern.

Sample shown in West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4-Ply (75% wool, 25% nylon; 437yds / 400m per 100g) in Cayenne Pepper 510 .
