This shawl was designed to be knit using two colours, but you can easily knit it in one colour. Yarns with long colour repeats would also work well for this shawl. I would strongly recommend using a solid or tonal colour for the lace pattern as a variegated yarn will obscure the lovely pattern. I have provided 3 different options for this shawl.

The lace section of the shawl is charted only.

Yarn used to knit the sample shawl:
Manos del Uruguay Alegria (75% Merino 25% Polyamid; 100g = 405m / 445yds) – Designer used colours A2343 Eucalyptus (main colour – MC) and A8002 Ming (contrasting colour – CC) on 4.5mm/US7 circulars

Sizing / Yarn Requirements
This shawl is 100% customizable, depending on the number of lace repeat you do in the beginning will determine the size of your shawl. As a guideline, I would recommend the following:

S (M, L, XL) - 6 (7, 8, 9) repeats of the lace
800 (800, 1200, 1600) meters / 890 (890, 1335, 1780) yards

MC: 400 (400, 800, 800) meters / 445 (445, 890, 890) yards
CC: 400 (400, 400, 800) meters / 445 (445, 445, 890) yards

Yardage given above is estimated, you can always add in a new colour if you run out of the original yarn.

OPTIONS for the Shawl

1. • Option A: Shawl with Triangle Outer Border along two edges – lace section and garter stripe section
2. • Option B: Shawl with Triangle Outer Border along lace section only
3. • Option C: Shawl with only the lace section and garter stripe section omitting completely the Triangle Outer Border
