Irishmore - too many late night knitting sessions and a misreading of the cable name provided a perfect name for my design.

The cable that features on these socks is named Inishmore from the island of the same name, the largest of the Irish Aran Islands not connected to mainland Ireland by a bridge.

The pattern includes separate instructions for working the cable on the back leg (B) and heel or the front leg (F) and instep. Your socks your choice, whatever combination you like for your pair.

The cable is worked on a reverse stocking stitch background and the foot continues in reverse stocking stitch making a perfect canvas for the vagaries of hand painted yarns.

Cable pattern is both written and charted.
