This is a great beginner project. As a wonderful introduction to creating a crocheted garment, the use of a classic granny square and single crochet combination will be rewarding to the advanced beginner to advanced level crafter.

The body of this cardigan is crocheted all in one piece and then the granny strip is either crocheted or sewn on. There is very little sewing. I love to sew, just not after all that crocheting. It seems that it takes just as long to sew as it does to crochet or knit, so let’s make it “Seamlessly Simple™”.

Sizes: 6 mo. (12 mo, 2 yrs, 4 yrs, 6 yrs, 8 yrs, 10 yrs)
Finished chest: 19 (20½, 22¼, 25¼, 27, 29, 30¾) “, 48 (52, 56, 64, 68, 74, 78) cm
