You knit, you learn; you wrap, you turn. A compliment to Lyrical Knits’ Jagged Little Stripe and ZZ’s Top pullovers, this shawl is just-one-more-row potato chip knitting!

You’ll work it in garter stitch, and begin with a small band of stripes worked on the bias. Lots of short rows are worked to shape the shawl into a series of triangles that create a slanted edge for striping in the MC and the “Surprise Color” (SC).

Choose an MC that will be used throughout the shawl, a CC to contrast with the MC in the short row sections, and an SC for a pop of color in the slanted stripes. The pattern includes a coloring template so you can test out your color scheme.

Materials:
2 skeins of Plucky Feet (425 yds/115 g) in Main Color, (shown in Cider Mill),
2 skeins Plucky Feet (425 yds/115 g) in Contrasting Color (shown in Sweet Nothings), and
1 skein Plucky Feet (425 yds/115 g) in Surprise Color (shown in Buzz Lighter), or
555 yds of the MC, 435 yds of the CC, and 120 yds of the SC in fingeringweight yarn.
OR
2 skeins of Zen Garden Serenity Silk + (500 yds/100 g) in the MC, and 1 skein EACH of the CC and SC.
Note that the Zen Garden skeins are usually >100 g, and you may only require 1 skein.

The shawl may be shortened easily, and you may only require 1 skein of the CC in the shortened shawl.
