I have a friend named Karen who lives in Glasgow; I do not get to see or talk to her nearly as much as I would like to. This scarf was my way of sending her a hug across the pond.

This pattern is very adaptable to modifications, including adding a 16-row repeat, changing yarn and needle size, or making longer by adding a second skein.

When I wrote this pattern in 2008, it was written only; recently I have updated this pattern to include a chart and to make it available on Ravelry.
