I designed this scarf to make knitting a scarf more interesting, and was inspired by an upcoming trip to Japan (2019) - the fabric is created by short rows and the unusual holes, both of which play nicely with Noro colours.

Comments from the testers:

This was such a fun and quick knit, and normally I don’t like big holes in my knitting, but I love these!

Beautiful design, perfect for Noro, and a real pleasure to knit.

Put an interesting construction together with Noro and it’s hard to stop.

The intriguing thing about this pattern is that you can knit more or fewer rows in the stockinette sections, allowing you to manipulate where new colors begin and end.

I met a knitting friend I haven’t seen in over a year for coffee on Sunday. Of course, we both brought show and tell. When I put my scarf on the table, she just sat there looking and stroking. She is not easily impressed, but she was right then. :)
