Pattern completed :)
In pdf, starting chart and charts 1 to 14 for the shawl.
Only border missing in pattern for now, which will come soon in the written explanation (working on it now December 30th)

  • After chart 6, knit chart 4 once (with more repeats) then knit chart 5 once (with more repeats). It’s planned to knit again chart 6 later, after 5 pattern repeats (so after chart 9).
  • If you don’t want to “break” the pattern with chart 6, jump directly to chart 7.

Stitch pattern comes from Knitting book 250, #31, that you can see on this project.
Shawl must be blocked.

This shawl uses the same construction as feather and fan comfort shawl, see there for construction information.

About the yarn : AvantGarde is usually knit in US 1-1/2 (2.5mm) needles. Using US4-3.5mm so bigger needles.
I would advice fingering yarn for the shawl to have a nice rendering.

Gauge isn’t necessary since ending when big enough.

First four pictures, shawl finished, blocked and worn (for your information, it’s me on pictures I’m 1m70 tall. My Mum is 1m60 tall and the shawl isn’t too big, she can curl in it and have enough around her neck to protect from cold wind)
Fifth picture is while blocking.
Sixth picture is before blocking.
Seventh picture is at the beginning of chart 9 (shawl isn’t blocked since still on needles)
Eighth picture made charts 1 to 4.
(red thread is my life thread that I put after each ended chart ).
Ninth picture, after knitting chart 4 again (after chart 6)
See more pictures on my project page.

If you notice any mistake on charts or explanations, please feel free to send me a message so I can correct them

Will be happy to see yours :-) Happy knitting !
