I love making squares! They are so versatile! You can use any yarn! Make a washcloth, dishcloth, make squares and combine for baby blanket, or wet throw! If you get really excited, make enough to make a blanket for your bed! Put squares together to make bags or sweaters. Your imagination is your only limit! Just have fun!

Supplies
I used worsted weight yarn.
Mainstays yellow, approximately 45 to 50 yards
US I-8/5.50mm

Stitches
MC / magic circle

BPDC
Bead stitch in this pattern=DC in first stitch.YO and insert hook from front behind post of the DC, yo and loosely pull up a loop, yo and loosely pull up a loop, 4 times total, yo, insert hook into next stitch, Yarn over and pull through 10 loops, yo and pull thru last 2 loops. DC in next stitch* and repeat.
Crochet in back and third loop (insert your hook into back loop, tilt your work toward you and you will see a smaller half bar/loop underneath. Insert your hook into that stitch as well. This gives your stitch a little bit more stability than using back loop only.)

Gauge
I am a loose crocheter. If you wish your square to be approximately 8 in then here is my gauge. I feel squares can be made out of any yarn using the hook size recommended for the yarn. But this is made using a medium #4, worsted weight yarn.
