This one-size pattern for both a slouchy infant cap & fitted toddler beanie uses two of my favorite yarns—White Barn Farm Sheep & Wool “Heaven” & Malabrigo Worsted. With the writing of this pattern, I have at long last arrived at the zenith of my quest to create the perfect toddler beanie—not too tight, not too loose, just right. June Belle is sized to begin fitting as a slouchy cap around age six months {head circumference 16.5inches+} & lasting well into the toddler years {2/3yo} as a fitted beanie. I named the design after my youngest daughter whom even at the raw age of two {head circumference 18.5inch+} has developed an esteem & love for her mama’s handknits—“mama’s knittin,” as she sweetly says. One skein of White Barn Farm Heaven will create at least three beanies.

Pattern Note: When completing the decrease section at the crown, you may choose to change to dpns at some point. I use the magic-loop method to complete the decrease rounds and thus never have to change needles. :)
