These fingerless gloves are constructed “in the round” and feature a popular “feather and fan” lace motif on the back of the hand. The instructions are intended for beginning and returning knitters who may not yet be comfortable with interpreting conventional knitting patterns. The steps in the instructions are given with row numbers and stitch count, and are accompanied by several “Notes for Newer Knitters.”

Knitting skills required include: joining a round, knitting in ribbing, knitting through the front and back loops of the same stitch, picking up and knitting new stitches, yarnover, and knitting two adjacent stitches together, through either the front or back loops.
