Hello Fiber Folks!!!!!!

Kaleido-Kicks are a spin off from my Kaleidoscope hat pattern in sock form. Perfect for new and seasoned knitters! Perfect for ‘wanna be’ sock knitters. Knit cuff down…these DK weight socks (2 strands of fingering weight held double) are just knitting and purling. Essentially a tube sock, without traditional heel shaping. But don’t let the word ‘tube sock’ steer you away. They won’t disappoint in the fit and staying in place factor. I don’t want to deter new sock knitters from learning a traditional sock structure. I want you to be able to get a pair of hand knit sock on your foot for the first time, fall in love with them, then have the courage to conquer that heel structure later. A quick and easy gift knit of mindless knitting.

The fun part? Come join me on another color blending journey! I want you to reach outside your color comfort zone with these socks and marl ALL THE COLORS!

No need to go out and purchase yarns to knit these socks! Dig into your fingering weight stash for scraps, mini’s, partial skeins, advents and every bit and bob you’ve got. Each Kaleido-block requires 4-5g of each color. There are 9 Kaleido-blocks per sock, so you will need approximately 144-180g of fingering weight yarns in total, depending on your gauge.
Pattern samples knit on size 4 needles, 9” circulars. Your sizing will depend on gauge, but pattern numbers won’t change. Just adjust your needle size. (size 3,4 or 5)

I am over the moon excited about these socks!
I hope you will join me on a new way to look at colors, how they blend together and fall in love with a knit tube sock for the first time! Dare I say…I may never knit another sock heel again? I probably will…but I am in LOVE with the squishy and snug fit garter stitch gives to these socks! A hug on your foot for sure!

Now go fill a project bag full of colorful yarns and cast on with me!
