I’m so excited to introduce my first knitwear design pattern to you. Spirit Within Me Cowl. I feel at peace when I am surrounded by mountains and dream of living in a tiny cabin in Colorado surrounded by glorious landscapes. This cowl was inspired by a beautiful photo of Colorado landscape and reminds me of Fall. My favorite season! Surrounded by mountains full of Birch trees and their strikingly beautiful golden yellow leaves on a cool crisp morning with skies of blue and dappled sun.
The color combinations are endless with this design and I’m dreaming of my next color ways to knit. Perhaps a meadow with green and pink variegated and solid blue skies above.

The pattern uses almost the entire skein of Malabrigo Rios and Spun Right Round but just a bit of Western Sky Knits.

Just to avoid any possible confusion this cowl is designed to be a larger cowl with a good amount of drape. In the photographs it is pulled down some on the dress form to allow you to see the textured pattern more clearly. It could be worn over the shoulders if desired and it fits in this manner. But the pattern is designed to fit all sizes as a large cowl with drape!
