A small crochet bag with optional flower motif. The neck opening is slightly narrowed to stop contents spilling out. The samples measure approx 27cm (10.6 inches) top to bottom and 22cm (8.6 inches) wide at lower edge.

Designed for beginners this pattern is suitable as a first crochet project as it only used chain and double crochet stitches. The handle opening is placed by measuring rather than stitch count so that its not necessary to get a perfect match to the designers stitch count when picking up the stitches.

Yardage is approximate, the samples used one full skein of Malabrigo Organic Cotton (without motif) and 2 balls of Katia Linda with motif.

The pattern is written in British crochet terms but as it uses only double crochet, to convert to American crochet terms you only need to cross out the word “double” when it appears and change it to “single”.

This is my very first published crochet pattern so please let me know if there are any issues at all!
