I love to buy hand dyed yarn full of magically mixed colors, but I often struggle to find a project for it. I designed this cowl to highlight just such a special yarn. The bandana style is worked with an interesting modular construction that is not difficult, but does require you to pay close attention to the directions. Wear your cowl as a knitter’s alternative to a necklace and instantly spark up your wardrobe!

This pattern is 4 pages long and is appropriate for an intermediate knitter. The techniques used are all explained and there are photos and a couple video links to supplement the written directions. The cowl is worked from the bottom up by knitting connected mitered squares. Short rows are used to fill in the bandana area of the cowl. The neck is worked flat and is seamed in the back - or worked circularly as an option. Pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited to be clear and free of errors.
