The Chain was originally designed by Bohus Stickning / Anna Lisa Mannheimer Lunn in the 1940s and was recreated by Pernille Silfverberg in 2021.

Most pattern yarns for the Chain are 50% angora and 50% merino, except one which is pure wool. The pattern yarns (apart from those main colors in other designs) are hand dyed by Pernille to match the original Bohus Stickning pattern colors. The main color, a warm beige, is dyed at the spinning mill.
The angora comes from AngoraGarnet’s own angora rabbits. They guarantee that the rabbits are treated humanely and live healthy lives. They also guarantee that the merino wool they use is produced without the controversial practice of mulesing.
