I’m lucky enough to live in an area where it’s really cold during the winter months and slippers are a MUST HAVE to survive the cold. So I went on a mission to design a more trendy, cabled slipper boot that was warm enough for the cold here and comfy enough to wear in not so frigid temperatures. The Kids“Kickin’ Cables” Slipper Boots are SOOO super comfy & warm that your kids will want you to make them a pair in every color. :) My favorite thing about them is that they don’t twist around on your feet (you know when your sole ends up on the top of your foot?). lol

Make yourself a matching pair with the Adult pattern for “Kickin’ Cables” Slipper Boots found here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kickin-cables-sli...

The soles of these slippers are not constructed like the majority of slipper patterns. They are not worked in the round in an oval pattern. The way that they’re worked makes them much easier and quicker to work up. :)

Pattern Sizes Inlcuded:
Small: Kids 9/10
Medium: Kids 11/12
Large: Kids 13/1
Extra Large: Kids 2/3
Instructions included for making a wide slipper boot.

This pattern is classified as an Intermediate pattern because of the cable work. I have created a 2 part video tutorial for the cables that can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/user/jam32876/videos

The pattern calls for a Worsted Weight / 4 yarn. Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn, Loops n Threads Impeccable, Red Heart Soft and even Red Heart Super Saver are suggested (if using RHSS, use a color that is thinner as some RHSS is too thick). As long as you check your gauge, you should have no problems. For the Cuff, I suggest a lighter Worsted Weight such as Caron Simply Soft or Red Heart Soft.

Slipper Boot design is an ‘A Crocheted Simplicity’ Original Design.
