Kindling a Light in the Darkness:
Winter Folklore and Fairy Tales

Around the world in many cultures and many places there are tales of someone or something being that spark, that light in the dark. A spark that illuminates and inspires others and and grows as it spreads.

Sometimes that light is figurative, and sometimes it is quite literal.

This year we are celebrating those sparks, and the tales they’ve inspired.

I’d like to give a massive thank you to everyone who has tested this pattern for me and given me feedback.

This pattern is usable at any weight, and with any quantity of yarn over 2 skeins. It is this way because advent sets can varry widely and I wanted this to be something a lot of different people could use.

Weight of yarn and hook size are also variable, you should adjust those as you see fit.

However, the pattern was designed for a fingering weight yarn that is 438yds/100g a skein. The advent sets range from 1,044 - 2,088 yds.
