You can buy this pattern one of 2 ways:

I originally made these for my mum in 2017 - those are her hands in the purple ones - hands which have suffered from arthritis and undergone operations but which still do wonderful things with fabric - my mum has the neatest, most even handsewing ever !!!

You can knit these with DK, Worsted or Aran weight yarn: you get a lighter mitt with a snug fit with DK, or a thicker more felted feel with the heavier yarns.

Instructions are provided for knitting flat or in the round, so you can choose your favourite method.

There are charts and written instructions for each mitt (RH and LH mitts are different).

You need 2 cable needles, but the cables aren’t too fiddly and you only have to cable every 10 rows (so not many in total).

There is a hat using the same stitch - Knitty Knotty.
