I discovered the Loopy Legs Technique while desperately trying to work out a way to knit a peep/amigurumi, standing on 4 legs, without having to knit the legs separately and sew them on. (yuck!) I’ve used it to knit Petunia and Elvin, and Petal (not posted yet) and I’ve also used the crochet version to make Abraham.

It really works! Yay!

This technique allows you to knit a 4 legged toy all in one piece, from nose to tail, including the legs and ears (there is also a tutorial to do this with crochet here)! Only the sides of the legs and ears need to be stitched when done. No making separate legs and ears and sewing them on! :o)

This is not a pattern for Petunia or Elvin!
Petunia’s pattern is here.
This is a photo tutorial for the technique, with some description.

So the pdf is available here:

Hope you enjoy it! :o)
