This book is now in its second printing, due to worldwide demand for the patterns. The original book was written in Latvian but each pattern has a full color chart and photo to easily knit the mitten. The front of each chapter has samples of the yarns used in that chapter, so knitters can determine if a commercial or handspun, single or multiple ply yarn was used. The patterns are organized by the area of Latvia they are from historically. The charts can be used for other projects, such as sweaters, scarves, hats, caps, and vests.
