We are having a heat-wave! As much as I would love to wear my shawl straight away I will need to wait a few weeks. But waiting for something nice….

Construction
This triangular shawl is worked outwards-in, starting from the scalloped lace pattern. 5 different sections featuring lace-pattern, eyelets, garter and stockinette are worked.

Size
Finished dimensions, after blocking, and worked at gauge: height at spine: 75 cm/29.5”, wingspan: 160 cm/63”. Finished dimensions can be easily adjusted by using different yarn weights/gauges. ‘

Materials
Yarn: the sample is worked in Tosh Merino Light from Madelinetosh, a fingering weight yarn, that comes in skeins of 384 m/420 yards. The total yardage for the shawl is approximately 700 m/763 yards. Worked in 2 colours as the sample your will need approximately 275 m/300 yards of CC – Scout 374 (the pink yarn), and 425 m/463 of MC – Tern84 (the grey yarn). Needles: one 80 cm/32” circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge. Suggested size 3 mm/US2.5.

Gauge
24 sts and 36-38 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”

Knitting skills
Intermediate.

The pattern
There is a schematic for the sections.
