This batwing sweater is made for fun! A side-to-side construction and easy to memorize lace pattern mean this piece is a great spring or summertime knit. Work on it in the sunshine, wear it in the warmth! Great as a layered piece over a strappy top or dress, and even great as a swimsuit cover-up at the beach, you can lounge in style with Lady Bat!

Notes
This sweater is very easy to size up or down. To increase the width of the sweater, simply work more rows in Zigzag lace while working the front and back (ensuring they are the same length!). The bottom edge of the sweater is meant to sit above your hips; that is, it is larger than your waist, but smaller than your hips. This allows the sweater to get that great drape at the bottom, and allow more freedom of movement for your arms. Zigzag Lace is inspired by lace of the same name in Barbara Walker’s First Treasury, pg 190.
