The Lakefront Hat is knit from the bottom up (brim to crown). It features a long brim which allows one to wear it slouchy or it could be folded up to add extra warmth to the ears. If the wearer prefers a hat without the turned up brim or a less slouchy hat, knit one less repeat of the pattern.

The wave pattern on the Lakefront Hat reminds me of the sights and sounds of the Lake Pontchartrain area. The view of the sailboats in the distance and the splash of the waves against the seawall remind me of beauty of living in Louisiana.
