Created during an afternoon viewing of “The Kids Are Alright,” Laser is a simple and straightforward cowl. Stacked horizontal checks make this thick (and quick) cowl doable for even the most novice knitter. Skills required? Knitting & purling! Laser can be knit using one skein of your favorite extra bulky yarn and is the perfect host for that special button you’ve been eying.

Materials
One skein of Malabrigo Rasta (model is knit in “Laguna Negra”) or 90 yards of similar weight yarn.
Size 15 circular needle (cable length 16’ or greater).
One extra large (and extra fantastic) button.

Gauge
2 stitches = 1 inch on US Size 15 needles

Errata
Row 5 should end with K5, P1, not P5, K1.
