A loose-fitting hat, this project shows you what else those elongated stitches can do. Worked from the bottom up, it features a faux cable rib stitch that is created by manipulating elongated stitches. The elasticity of the stitch allows the hat to fit a variety of head sizes, making this a versatile, giftable knit!

I don’t regularly design for men, and with Laxo Hat I wanted to remedy that. This hat is for all of you who want to knit something more sedate and yet wearable. Keep in mind that this hat does best with a bit of drape, so if you have a precious skein of cashmere sock yarn lying around, now is the time to break it out.
