A snug beanie with a striking raised leaf pattern; choose autumn or spring colours for a seasonal knit!

The hat is worked in the round, from brim to crown. The brim ribbing and the stems are worked through the back of the stitch to give a crisp appearance. The leaf pattern sits on a background of reverse stocking stitch, and is achieved using a range of increases and decreases.

Most knitters will be able to make a hat, without a pompom, in any of the three sizes from one ball of yarn. You may need a second ball for the large size or to make an impressive pompom.
