After a foundational stockinette stitch triangle, the pattern then opens up into a small leaf pattern, which transitions into a wave design.

Light and airy, this shawl is perfect over a jacket, or wrapped around the neck like a neckerchief.

The pattern is in written form only - every line in the pattern is completely written out, this is to allow beginning knitters to be successful in creating this shawl. For a more experienced knitter, the pattern will be easily picked up on and you may not need to read every row.

Like most lace knitting, wetblocking your final piece is essential. If you don’t like to wetblock, you’ll end up with something like the pictured shawl, just alot more “crumpled”. :)

Stitches you’ll need to know:

k – knit
p – purl
k2tog tfl – knit 2 together through the front loops
k2tog tbl – knit 2 together through the back loops
k3tog – slip 1 stitch, k2tog, pass slipped stitch back over
m1 – pick up bar between stitches, k into it
yo – yarn over

Like this pattern but you’d rather read a chart instead of a written pattern? Let me know! If demand is high enough, I will chart this design and add it to the written pattern.
