Leymus Shawl is an exclusive club design for the July 2016 Yarnbox.

Dress up simple jeans and t-shirt for a picnic or throw over your favorite little black dress for a garden party. Leymus Shawl is a simple yet striking reversible lace edged crescent shape shawl worked from the bottom up in a beautiful linen yarn.

Leymus Shawl starts with an easily repeatable lace edging, then transitions to the HDC body, which is cleverly shaped using short-rows.

39” wingspan and 22” deep

Yarn: Louet Euroflax (100% Wet Spun Linen); 270 yards/246 meters/100 grams; Teal – 2 skeins
Hook: US size 8/H (5.0 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Extras: Yarn needle; Stitch marker
Gauge: 12 sts and 12 rows = 4” in Hdc, blocked.

The Leymus Shawl is a crescent shape shawl worked from the bottom up beginning with a simple lace edging pattern. Once the edging is complete, the shawl transitions to half-double crochet and short-rows to shape the body of the shawl.
