These mitts feel magical because they fit so many hand sizes! The Amble yarn is so soft and cozy and the pattern has directions to easily lengthen the cuff and palm for larger/longer hands if desired.

Construction: These fingerless gloves are knit in the round from the cuff up, forming a gusset at the same time the palm pattern begins. Thumb stitches are put on hold and worked in the round last after rejoining yarn for the palm and finishing with the top cuff. The pattern is completely written and contains no charts or cabling for the chart adverse!

Yarn: Please note that Amble by the Fiber Company is a lighter sport weight/heavier fingering so take that into account when substituting yarns. If knit without extra length you can easily knit two pairs of mitts with one skein! Or try contrasting cuffs with some minis!

Gauge:
16 sts and 18 rows/2” on larger needles in the smocked pattern after light blocking. (Pick a yarn that gives you a nice fabric at about 8 sts/in.

The smocked portion (not including the purl sts on either side of the smocked panel measures 2 3/8” after light blocking.
