Ever buy that skein of yarn that is so beautiful, so vibrant, but so difficult to find a good pattern for? Yarn that is loud, pools funny, or just refuses to cooperate? These socks will help you tame your yarn into a beautiful pair of socks. Mix a bright with a dark, a variegated with a semi-solid, a striped with a variegated, … Or just use one colorway and let the yarn sing. The possibilities are endless!

This sock uses two yarns, a main color (MC) and a contrasting color (CC). 9” sample (with 9” long foot) used 200 yards of the MC and 120 yards of the CC. In the third picture, you can see a swatch of the CC used.

Socks that Rock lightweight is a heavy fingering yarn. If you get a fabric you like at a denser gauge, you may wish to knit a “larger” size to get your desired size.

This pattern has both written and charted instructions so you can choose your favorite way to read the Tamer Stitch! (No chart reading is necessary but the chart is provided for those who prefer a visual.)

Finally a big thank you to all my test knitters.
