Gauge and measurements
You should work at a gauge that gives you a nice fabric with your yarn. Sample shown was knit in 405 yards of fingering weight yarn on US4 needles at a gauge of 20 stitches in 4 inches of garter stitch. It has a wingspan of 62” and a depth of 18” after being lightly blocked.

Notions
Circular needles in a size that works with your yarn. You may need to have a long (32 or 40”) cable toward the end, depending on your yarn and yardage
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
