LITTLE PINEAPPLE TOY FOOD KNITTING PATTERNS

A tropical knit! This little pineapple is a super stash-busting pattern as you only need a small amount of yarn.

THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the pineapple, a list of abbreviations and materials. The pattern is 2 pages and written in English.

TECHNIQUES: The pineapple and leaves are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and sew a seam. The stalk is a single crochet chain, or you could use a length of yarn or ribbon instead.

YARN, NEEDLES & NOTIONS INCLUDE:

  • A pair of straight 3.75mm knitting needles (US 5)
  • A 3.75mm crochet hook to make the stalk (US F/5)
  • Double knitting yarn (DK or light worsted weight) in green and orange; less than 5g each
  • Toy filling (or you could use a cotton wool balls to stuff the pineapple)
