This Little Rascal Baby Cardigan is easy to knit, and looks great!
Pattern is for 6-12 month size.
Sweater is mostly stockinette stitch, with garter stitch trim.
Pattern requires approx. 400 - 425 yds DK weight yarn.
Sample used 3 skeins of Sirdar Rascal DK yarn (50 grams/179 yards per skein) in color #451 (Cheeky Chops).
Recommended needle sizes are 4 (for garter stitch trim) and 6 (for body).
Recommended gauge of 5.5 stitches and 7 rows per inch, in stockinette stitch, using larger needles.

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, increasing (YO), decreasing (k2tog and ssk), basic seaming (mattress stitch), picking up and knitting stitches.

Sweater back and fronts are knit flat and seamed at the shoulders.
Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole edge, and sleeves are knit from shoulder to cuff.
Button band and collar stitches are picked up and knit in garter stitch.
