Part of my Cracked Pepper Cowl series, Little Tree Winder is the sapling cowl version of TreeWinder. The name Tree Winder came to me some time ago. I loved the name and finally designed a pattern that lived up to the name and it is a must have accessory! It’s a soft cowl knit with an unusual edge. The leaves grow out of the embossed knitting and wind their way around your neck.

Little TreeWinder is knit in a DK weight yarn but every knitter can choose how to “grow” their own Tree Winder. Once you learn the pattern is rather an easy knit suitable for advanced beginners with an appetite for adventure and an interesting piece for more experienced knitters.
