Llanfair Headbands
A trio of pretty yet practical headbands, held in place with elastic so they’ll stay put until you want to let your hair down. These headbands are also a fantastic way to use up your scrap yarn.
Now available as a 3-in-1 Ravelry download, including both written (Versions 1, 2, and 3) and charted instructions (Version 3 only); also available in my e-book Gwynedd.
10% of sale proceeds from my patterns go to charity, and featured charities rotate throughout the year. Check out my Profile Page to find out which is my featured charity for this quarter.
Materials Needed
• Scrap yarn, approximately 5-15g for each headband, depending on your yarn, gauge and size. Any weight will do -- just be aware that this will affect the look and thickness (and number of rows) for your headband.
• Pair of double pointed needles of recommended size for your weight of yarn (check the ball band, or experiment with needle size until you achieve your desired fabric)
• 5mm wide elastic band, a piece about 4in, 10cm long for each headband, or an elastic hairband
• Cable needle (Versions 2 and 3 only)
• Tapestry needle
• Sewing needle and thread
• Measuring Tape
(Sorry, but refunds will not be available for purchases of single patterns prior to purchasing the e-book.).
Thank you to my fearless test knitters!
