We all need a cape or two in our lives. It is your perfect companion for trips, work, or coffee on a chilly morning. The cape is small enough to carry with you everywhere, and it looks good with everything.
When I saw the taupe and light blue together, I immediately wanted to combine those colors. It reminded me of a Lotus flower, and the definition of it described my design perfectly. (lo·tus - noun
(in Greek mythology) a legendary plant whose fruit induces a dreamy forgetfulness and an unwillingness to depart.)
Working with fingering yarn and larger needles created a cushion-like fabric that makes this cape irresistible.

The circumference of the cape at the top - 20 inches
The circumference of the cape at the bottom - 58 (61, 64) inches
The length of the cape without the collar - 17 inches

Use woolen yarn for an accessory that will hold its structure, and have less stretch; while superwash merino or superwash merino blend will create a stretchy and soft cape.
