Meet Luna the Unicorn, a knitted toy for your little one or for any fan of magical creatures! You only need to know 4 stitches to knit this toy: knit, purl, a k2tog decrease and a kfb increase. The mane and tail are tassels made from yarn and sewn onto the toy.

This pattern has been designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz using acrylic DK yarns, and is knitted flat on single pointed needles.

RECOMMENDED YARN
Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK in Frost, Rose and Fuchsia; one 100g skein in each colour
Double knitting/light worsted weight
100% acrylic

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm straight single pointed knitting needles

NOTIONS
Toy filling
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
Two 12mm toy safety eyes
A piece of cardboard at least 20cm wide to make tassels for the mane and tail

One Size: The unicorn is approximately 49cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
Work flat on single pointed needles (not in the round).
Other techniques include casting on and off, knits and purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
