Fall always makes me simultaneously want to stomp around outside, curl up with a good book, and relax on my patio next to the fire pit. This sweater is great for all of the above, and fun to knit as well – a simple texture on the sweater’s yoke and a low and- lower asymmetrical hemline keep things interesting. A scoop neckline and slightly slimmer sleeves than the traditional drop-shoulder update a classic silhouette. It’s worked in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed; slight waist shaping on the back of the sweater keeps the fit from being excessively boxy with this heavier-weight yarn.

Miss Babs Yowza (100% Superwash Merino], 560 yards/512 meters/8 ounces/227 grams), 3 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins; shown in color Moonscape.
