Soft and warm, the Lykens Hat combines snug ribbing with a cozy slip stitch crown. The directions are given for a classic watch cap fit; working more rounds of the slipped stitch before shaping can make a more modern slouch version.

One size fits most adults: there is a lot of stretch in the ribbing.
The finished circumference is 18.25” and the height is 8.5”.

The sample is shown in two colors: Rock 2014 (ribbing) and Mica 2014 (crown). One skein of each color will give you enough yarn to make two hats, the reverse of each other.

A US size 8 (5mm) 16” circular needle and removable stitch markers, one in color A, seven in color B are the tools you will need for this hat.
