The Shamokin Pullover puts a new spin on a classic shape: the body is simple, reverse Stockinette stitch, with the back showcasing a climbing vine pattern. The Stockinette stitch sleeves are set in, and the crew neck and cropped length are finished with a modified roll. Worked in chunky yarn, this is a quick knit to carry you through the coldest months.

The finished chest measurements are 36.5 (40, 44.5, 49, 53.75)“. It is designed to fit with 2-3” of positive ease.

Materials needed are:

  • US size 8 (5mm) needles, or size needed to obtain gauge: straight and 16 “ circular for the neck
  • Two removable stitch markers
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch holder or waste yarn

The directions are written and include a chart for the vine pattern.

Errata
A corrected version of the pattern has been uploaded, but if you have an earlier version, please make a note that

  • In the written directions, the non-patterned section of the back is reversed: all “knit to the marker” should read “purl to the marker” and vice versa.

  • On Row 4 of the written instructions, there is an extra “k1”; this is a typo.

  • On Row 20 of the written instructions, “k to marker, sm, k7” should read “k to marker, sm, p7”.
