Boxy one size 1980’s inspired basic machine knit Fairisle jacket

SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS

Knitted on a standard gauge machine in 100% wool using 1 strand of each colour , but you could use any colour combination or punch card design for this simple shawl neck jacket.

Loose fit and comfy to wear , Super easy to make and wear. One size fits a Uk dress size 10 (loose fit ) thru to 16. In the pictures , The lady with the glasses on is me and I am a size 16 the lady with the black hair is a size 10 , to give you an indication of the size variation. there are also some simple hints on how to make it a little bigger or smaller.

For this one I used yarn gauge 2/10s, and 2/9s ( 2/11.3 nm) which is a coned 4ply equivalent but any combination of yarn that will give you the stitch count of 7 st and 9 rows to the inch will do. I used tension 9.1 to achieve this stitch count
