When I first saw Stonehedge Fiber Mill’s Crazy yarn, I thought of scrap quilts and rag rugs, particularly a rug that was in my grandparents’ cabin when I was young. This shawl translates that coziness into something modern and easy to wear.

Magnificent Oyster is worked from the top down, beginning with a few stitches and expanding in sections.

The original sample is about 68 inches wide at the widest point and 30 inches long at the longest point, but it’s easy to make a smaller shawl by working fewer rows or a larger, crazier shawl by continuing to work in pattern.
