Mandy was inspired by images of children from 1940s England, war time created the need to “mend and make do” Molly is an oversized over top, it has room for the child to grow into while providing a warm layer. Looks particularly cute over a dress and leggings.

The rose motif is worked in intarsia and the flowers and leaves are very easy crochet sts that a beginner can work (I know! I’ve been a beginner crocheter for years).

Molly is part of a set of three sweaters in the Toastie Pie e-book.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited.
