Description - A vest of rayon bouclé and bamboo yarn that drapes flatteringly on the body with slimming sheer stripes of rayon only, a rolled collar lapel and bead closure. This vest is knit sideways of one strand of rayon and one of bamboo yarn together in the A-slot on a Bulky (or mid-gauge) machine. Variations can be made by combining similar shades for a solid look or contrasting colors for tweed. The one shown above was knit in Black Bambu 7 and Scarlatto Skinny Majesty then over-dyed on the bottom after knitting to create an ombré hem.

The finishing touch is bead cord and glass beads to add weight to the front lapel and create a closure which hides with buttonholes in the minimal edge trim on the front for a double breasted effect. It also looks great worn open.

Scarf pattern sold separately.
