This pattern uses traditional stacked technique. For stacked patterns, I would rate its difficulty level as medium. But just like most of the stacked patterns, this one too requires some skill and a lot of attention. Familiarity with stacked technique is not required, but highly desirable.

These leaves can be knit all over, for a rectangular wrap or scarf; or you can knit just a few leaves rows followed by plain garter or any other pattern of your choice; the leaves blend into a flat line without fancy tricks (it is all in the pattern).

Check out the Leaves Collection on my website for leafy patterns using various techniques.

Yarn: fingering weight, non-splitty, solid-colored. Slow-changing gradient is OK. Avoid self-striping yarn. Pure wool is the best, but sockyarn is also OK. Amount - about 150g (600m) total for a scarf (30 by 150cm); 200-250g will be neccessary for a wrap.
Needles: 3mm steel needles with sharp tips.
Gauge: one leaf is 11X11 cm
