Errata

A completely overhauled version of the pattern “Margaret” has been sent out to everyone who purchased the pattern prior to 10/10/12. Patterns purchased after this date are correct.

There were no glaring errors, just little things that many of you didn’t even notice, but errors are errors and that is totally unacceptable.

I am soooo very sorry there were errors in the original pattern.

October is “Cancer Awareness” Month and I was asked if I would make a pattern as a fund raiser for the Susan G. Koman Foundation,

so…

I have not one, but two new patterns that will be released in their entirety on October 1st for this event “Margaret” and “Save the Ta-Ta’s”. link text

25% of all sales through the month of October will be donated on behalf of “Criminal Knits” to the Susan G. Koman Foundation as we do our part to raise awareness that we all should be screened for cancer’s that when caught in time no longer need to kill us.

Yarn: Margaret uses 470yds of fingering weight yarn and size 7 circular needles. If you are planning to use Wolle’s Color Changing Cotton for this one I would go down a needle size and use a 6.

This pattern is called “Margaret” in memory of my cousin who died of colon cancer last month.

Kate of Dragonfly Fibers has made us our very own colorway for these shawls called… “Save the Ta-Ta’s” which is available right now in her shop. link text It comes in Dragon, Pixie and Djinni fingering weight bases. Just check your yardage when ordering and be sure to get enough!

You can buy the patterns individually for $5 each or together for $8 just be sure to put them both in your cart at the same time and while we will NOT be doing either of these shawls as a KAL, we will have “stickied” threads over on the Criminal Knits group link text where we can chat and post our pics.

Both “Margaret” and “Save the Ta-Ta’s” are the same shape, just different patterns and sizes… made up of 3 triangles (instead of the 2 we usually see in shawls and shawlettes) this construction allows the shawls to drape gracefully over our shoulders and stay in place.

Gauge: With fingering weight and size 7 needles in stockinette: 4 1/2 to 5 stitches per inch fully blocked

Size: In fingering weight yarn your shawl will measure approx. 19” from the back of your neck to the bottom edge

Both patterns have charts (yes, hand drawn as always) and written directions.
