According to this knit’s namesake, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, and this cabled cowl with bead-jewelled diamonds will certainly add a touch of glamour to your wardrobe. This is an achievable project and is great for developing your cable skills. Whilst the addition of beads may look complex, they are surprisingly easy to work, making for a fun and interesting knit.

Marilyn is knitted with Rowan Wool Cotton yarn in Bilberry - a lush damson shade in a wool cotton mix DK weight yarn, but you could use an alternative dk (light worsted) yarn if desired, just remember to adjust quantity of yarn as needed.

Knitted in a single piece as a rectangle, Marilyn has a moss (seed) stitch border with a string of bead-studded cable diamonds along its length which are interlinked with smaller bobbled diamond shapes.
