This beautiful spring-time poncho is crocheted from the bottom to top. I used Lion Brand Pound of Love partially because I love the yarn and I had it on hand at the time of the inspiration. I’ve test crocheted a small swatch using Caron One Pound and Red Heart Super Saver. I also used different colors as shown by the photo. I had yarn left over in the white Caron One Pound skein after working both the XS and S.

The sizes in this pattern are extra small (approximately 1-2 years), small (approximately 4-6), Medium (approximately 8-10) and Large (12-14).

Also I came up with another gauge for the flower itself. I have four (4) total flowers in 4 inches and the flowers being 1.25” tall.

The stitch markers do need to be the kind that open. As I am sure seasoned crocheters know this, I did want to mention that. Also I used up to 5 stitch markers as I like to mark 50 st when working my chain. Only 2 are absolutely necessary for the pattern.
